Experienced Electrician
We are looking for a time-served electrician to join our team. You must be able to work on your own and be self-motivated. As a control panel wirer you will be required to carry out general panel fitting work, wiring of PLC’s, variable speed drives, servo motors and complex control systems. You will also be expected to complete field wiring on packaging machines, thereby wiring a complete solution through to testing and commissioning. Opportunities to work off-site work both in the UK and oversees will be available.
Key Skills & Experience
- Build control panels and electrically assemble complex machinery.
- Work to electrical drawings and correct and update as necessary.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as hand and power tools, measuring devices, and test equipment.
- Construct a variety of cable management systems, conduit, cable tray and trunking
- Work on installations in the UK and worldwide
- Deliver high quality, professional work within planned deadlines
Qualifications and Skills
- Recognised apprentice trained electrical qualifications
- Ideally multi-skilled with electrical bias
- Background in automation and packaging equipment
- Driving licence and Passport
- Customer focus and service skills
- 17th edition wiring regulations
- A working knowledge of PLC’s/HMI’s would be preferable

Field Service Engineer- Multiskilled
To supply customer support for the range of AMP Rose packaging machinery supplied worldwide.
Provide field service support for AMP Rose equipment supplied around the world. To conduct installations, commissioning, training, and fault finding on the range of equipment we supply. This role will involve extensive travel often resulting in a number of weeks away from home.
Salary: Competitive (Depending on skills and competence)
Responsibilities
- Understanding and experience of fault diagnoses on packaging machines covering electrical, electronic, and mechanical disciplines
- Work on a range of PLC and Motion control systems
- Work away from home for extended periods
- Conduct machinery checkout and trials
- Customer acceptance trials
- Product development assistance.
- Installation and commissioning of the full range equipment.
- Promoting sales of spare parts, upgrades, new and pre-owned machines.
- Carrying out training programs, and promoting training.
- Giving feedback information from customers and competitive equipment
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to your skill levels from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
Minimum Qualifications/Education
- 5 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent.
- HNC/D or equivalent in a technical discipline, (electrical or electronic) or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Substantial experience in roles such as electrical or electronic technician, field service repair of machinery, maintenance repair, or related occupations. Familiarity with machine and electrical parts, components and assembly is essential. Experience interfacing with customers.
Knowledge, Skill, Abilities
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to fault diagnostics using PLC logic.
- Be able to control situations whilst providing a high standard of customer service
- Have excellent electrical/mechanical technical skills.
- Be able to read blueprints and schematics.
- Will be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook
- Will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to serving others.
- Have a history of working to deadlines and meeting business objectives.
- Have a flexible approach to work.
Other
- A full and clean UK driving license.
- Ability to travel freely worldwide

Conventional machinist
We are looking for a skilled machinist to operate conventional machine tools such as cylindrical grinders, lathes and milling machines.
Applicants should be from a precision engineering background and able to interpret engineering drawings and work to close tolerances in both imperial and metric measurements
The ideal candidate would be a time-served machinist with experience in producing high quality precision components in small batches. Ability to work from drawings or produce from sample.
